Thank you for using Brother Products.

Normally, when cleaning our products, we recommend the "wipe lightly with a soft, dry, lint-free cloth" method. However, in order to prevent the spread of new corona virus infections, we would like to inform you our recommended disinfection method. Thank you for using our products with proper care.

What you need

  • Disinfectant solution
Hypochlorous acid water, if available. If Hypochlorous acid water is not available, we recommend diluted ethanol (absolute ethanol 70% and water 30%) instead.
    * Do not use Sodium hypochlorite. Sodium hypochlorite contains bleach and it may damage plastic surfaces.
  • Soft and lint-free cloth

Disinfection method

  • Turn off the product. Unplug the power plug or remove the batteries.
  • If using diluted ethanol, move the product to a well-ventilated room.
  • Gently spray a disinfectant solution on a soft, lint-free cloth and wipe lightly and quickly where it touches your hands.
  • After cleaning, keep the covers open and wait for the moisture to dry completely without touching.
  • After wiping, wash your hands thoroughly.
  • Return to the original location, and then attach the power plug or batteries

Precautions

  • Be sure to turn off the product and remove the power plug or battery before disinfection.
  • Do not spray the disinfectant directly on the product.
  • Make sure that no moisture gets into openings for heat dissipation, gaps around buttons, connectors and battery terminals.

  • Do not use detergents containing bleach or abrasives.
  • When disinfecting handheld products, do not hold it in your hand, but place it on a table or the like.
