20th September 2011,Brother International India raided a Gujarat based dealer on the charges of copyright infringement.
The raid was conducted by Enforcers of Intellectual Property Rights along with the police team. The dealer was identified as Maxwell Electronics based in Baroda, Gujarat. Sanjaybhai Himmatbhai Prajapati the owner of Maxwell Electronics was arrested and booked under section 139/2011 Dt.20.9.2011 U/s. 51, 63 of Copyright Act. Another partner Raju Choudary is absconding. The case has been registered at Gotri Police Station – Baroda.
